Well everyone knows that a Christmas celebration isn’t complete without a turkey and/or a ham.
Easy, turkey is very high in protein, great for muscle repair and for feeling full longer.
I guess when it comes to cooking it, I’ll need to be careful of basting it or stuffing it with loads of sugar or empty carbs.
As for the ham, this should be pretty easy too. As long as you stay away from the fatty bite, ham off the bone is a pretty clean meat.
Both of these meats will keep for a few days after Christmas and are sure to serve as great snack alternatives.
As we’re doing a cold lunch, and we live in a coastal town, I’ll also be getting a bit of seafood involved as well. I’m thinking cooked plain prawns & maybe some skewered prawns & scallops – yum!
